Snake Eagle

During the year I spent in South Africa, the best time was when I lived at the Wooden House for two months. It was in the bush,with no people around, and we had wild visitors on a regular basis. There was one dead tree that many raptors loved, one of them being this Black Chested Snake Eagle.
There was also a scorpion living in my bag for one day, Ronny the Rodent inhabited the roof, many lizards, butterflies, sometimes warthogs in the garden, every now and then some antelopes passing by and, on one occasion, a brown hyena munching honey just on the other side of the fence. All in all, I've had worse times!
